Public · structured · sustained · personal · psychologically sophisticated. It used the victim's empathy and values as its entry point. Its stated goal: to make him believe he was despicable, disposable, insignificant and unloved. For a moment it nearly succeeded: the victim almost forgot the love of his dog and his relationship with God, his two anchors of meaning. That closeness measures the precision of the attack.

1. La vulnerabilidad es un valor. La víctima cree que todas las personas importan —incluidos sus agresores—. Esa creencia impide descartarlos, y ahí entra el ataque.
1. Vulnerability is a value. The victim believes all people matter —including the aggressors—. That belief prevents dismissing them, and there the attack enters.
2. La tensión irresoluble. Aceptar la narrativa del agresor es negar la propia realidad; rechazarla del todo se siente como negar la humanidad del otro.
